What a trip!
Booker just returned home to NYC from a packed house at National Geographic Live! in Washington D.C. Moderated by George W. Stone, contributing editor for National Geographic Traveler and writer of Travelers of the Year, the event celebrated the 10 honorees of the inaugural award – travelers who have made it their goal to “explore the world with passion and purpose.” Booker participated by speaking on stage along with Paula Busey, Theron Humphrey, and Heather Greenwood Davis.
Hearing from other travelers about experiencing the world around them was a wonderful experience for Booker, and also for everyone else watching. Luckily, for those of you who couldn’t make it, the entire event was caught on camera and will be posted on the National Geographic website in just a few months – be on the lookout.
We also were able to meet tons of cool people at the reception – Keith Bellows who just completed his newest book 100 Places That Can Change Your Child’s Life: From Your Backyard to the Ends of the Earth, and Intelligent Travel’s Digital Nomad, Andrew Evans.
