The High Line, once-abandoned railroad tracks along the west side of Manhattan now transformed into an elevated park, has recently become a popular tourist destination stretching from the Meatpacking District to 34th Street. More than just a place to see, the High Line Park and its organizers focus heavily on community engagement. High Line Teen Programs give teenagers in NYC an opportunity to learn about gardening, music, film, event production, and much more.
This July 18th their new Teen Night began. Hundreds of kids were invited to come with friends, dance, eat and play carnival games.
Whether you are a tourist or a local, the High Line is a very special place in NYC to hang out.
